Eslyssa. (Otherwise known as Cat, Ameline, Little Kitty, Catherine, or a host of other bastardised versions of the above.)
Geek. (Otherwise known as History Student, Arts Student, SCAdian, RPer, fangirl, procrastinator.)
For the last five years, I've been involved in the Society for Creative Anachronism - a medieval recreation society. Feel free to poke me about SCA stuff.
I've started fighting Heavy (sword and shield). My ramblings about that will be posted here and tagged appropriately, as well as on its own blog. (http://fightingjournal.blogspot.com/)
If I've added you without saying anything, it probably means that I simply enjoy reading what you write, and there's no need to feel like you have to reciprocate.
Equally, if I've defriended you without saying anything, you probably weren't someone who I exchanged comments with much or at all, so it isn't anything about you. If there's something you've done/said that I've defriended you for, TRUST me, you'll know about it.
I also collect Oneliners and Weird and Wonderful Sayings.
Quotations of a more serious note, too..
While I'm not particularly active, currently, my main fandoms are/were Harry Potter, Obernewtyn, and Lord of the Rings. But oh did I dabble as well. If I get more into that again, relevant links will be posted here.
eslyssa is one of the funniest, most talented people I've ever met. She's very kind, strong and clever. So friend her plz, because she rocks my socks. She'll rock yours too. <3 -

eslyssa is a wonderful creature. She'll make you laugh hysterically at one thing and then just go off on a ramble that you may or may not be able to follow her on a few lines later. Very witty and very intelligent with just a hint (I lie, it's more than that) of insanity. She's a creative type. A sensational flautist and a talented fic writer (even if some of her subject matter is a little, well, you'll see...) I love
eslyssa because, not only is she funny and talented and a very very clever girl, she'll make you feel special and important in a single paragraph of an email. She also survived one of the most ridiculous, self important, aggravating high schools in Australia, if not the world. For that, she deserves much credit.
Friend her. Trust me. -

There once was a girl who loved books
and read them in library nooks.
She loved reading slash
and writing that trash
and coming up with lyric hooks.
She also loved music brand new,
though she turned to Bach when quite blue.
Though sometimes she’d weep
or go without sleep,
The music would cure her–it’s true.
She lived in a place called Australia,
swore fantasy’d cure what would ail ya.
Wizards, pirates and kings
Gave her dream life its wings
As she ventured forth o’er hill and dale-ya.
I sporadically collect weird and wonderful quotations from my LJ friends, so here's just a few.
phinnia - Ah, tomatoes, thou art delicious and yet inflammatory. *weeps*
sazzlette - *Come ON, people. Where are the Python jokes?? D:*
agatha_s - "Robert Langdon, the famous Harvard professor of Religious Symbology, couldn't understand why he was called to help investigate the sudden increase in the size of the city of Hamburg."
losselen - I think the gnomes come and beat me in sleep because I discovered three unexplained bruises today.
alazysod - My cat has a kitty boner. And he's been humping the blanket. wtf, cat. You're, like, 50 in cat years. Take your kitty boner somewhere else.
pecking_keypads - One fetus, two fetus, dead fetus, blue fetus.
phinnia - And that little stunt with the nudity and the pen? NO to that too.
greenovalfruit - In the traditional, anglo-saxon "It stopped raining once last year ... jolly interesting five minutes, what!" lives in the green rolling hills of God knows where because the fog is too thick to read any of the signs ... way.
nousia - I know the song is full of hatred and murderous intent, but...I just can't help liking it.
peterchayward - Where I am uppercase, he is lowercase, and a smaller font to boot.
